A. Yes we do. We have partner with American Veterans Care Connections (AVCC), to get aid and attendance benefits for our Veterans and surviving spouse.
Q. Does the Homecare agency requires caregivers to carry photo identification?
A. Yes, all caregivers are required to properly identify themselves to each client.
Q. Does Medicare pay for In-Homecare care services?
A. Medicare does not pay for long term care or in-home care provided on an hourly bases, they will cover intermittent skilled nursing and therapy visits such as (physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy).
At this time Heka Hapi Homecare LLC is not a Medicare or Medicaid certified provider. We will be in the near future.
Q. If I am dissatisfied with my caregiver, can I request a replacement?
A. Absolutely, we want all our clients to be 100% satisfied with there caregivers.
Q. Does the provider keep a "log book" in my home to document services performed ( meals, bathing, activities etc)?
A. Yes. This is very important to keep everyone in the know of your loved ones care.
Q. Are the home caregivers supervised and evaluated by a registered nurse?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you provide 24 hour care?
A. Yes.
Q. What Services do you provide?
A. We provide Non-Medical homecare services such as: Companion care, Personal care and homemaker care.
Q. Do you provide Respite care?
A. Yes, we understand that family caregiver need time off too.
Q. What form of payments do you accept?
A. We accept Cash, Checks, Credit cards, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App and ACH.
Q. What are your service areas?
A. Currently we are approved for Brevard, Osceola, Orange and Seminole counties. We are also working on Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Marion, Putnam, Sumter, Suwannee and Union Counties.
Q. Does the Homecare agency perform a criminal background screening on all caregivers?
A. Yes. For the safety of our clients, we perform a level 2 background screening on all caregivers.
Q. Is it true that your agency will assist with the institutional Medicaid process (ICP)?
A. Yes we do. We know that the transition process from home to a skilled nursing facility (snf) can be very overwhelming and scary. Our team will assist you and your family through the Medicaid application process. If you are over asset and need more extensive application. We will then refer you to contact an elder law attorney to assist you.
